How Braintity works
Answers about digitization, neural credits, memory capacity, archetypes, and data access.
Digitization
What is the digitization quiz?
The quiz is a structured intake designed to map the contours of your mind. A series of precise questions captures your goals, values, skills, emotional landscape, and sense of identity as distinct signal nodes — forming the personal memory graph that powers Milo and Neural Templates.
What happens to my answers?
Each answer passes through a proprietary signal refinement process. We first verify that the answer carries a genuine personal insight worth preserving. It is then distilled to its essential signal and permanently integrated into your memory lattice, tagged to the appropriate category. Only meaningful signal enters your graph — noise is filtered before it reaches your Braintity.
Can I add more nodes after the quiz?
Yes. Milo automatically captures new personal facts you share during conversations — this is Adaptive Learning. When a new insight is anchored, you will see a "Neural connection established" confirmation. You can also retake the digitization flow at any time to deepen your graph.
What are the five memory categories?
Identity (who you are), Focus (goals and priorities), Emotion (feelings and states), Clarity (values and principles), Skill (abilities and knowledge). Every node is tagged with exactly one category at the moment it is saved.
Neural Credits
What are Neural Credits?
Credits are the processing currency of your Braintity. Every Milo query or Neural Template draw activates our inference engine to retrieve and synthesize from your memory graph. Credits represent that compute — a unit of signal-to-insight processing on your behalf.
How many credits does each action cost?
- Milo - Fast Response: 5 credits per message (retrieves top 5 memory nodes)
- Milo - Deep Scan: 15 credits per message (retrieves top 15 nodes, extended analytical prompt)
- Neural Template: 2 credits per generation
- Pulse (automated weekly question): no credit cost
What happens when I run out of credits?
Milo and Templates pause until you refill. Your memory graph and all existing data remain intact — only new inference queries are suspended. Refill at any time via the Neural Marketplace (the + button in the sidebar or top bar).
Do credits expire?
No. Credits from a one-time refill never expire. They remain in your account until consumed.
I had credits and the action still failed. Why?
A short cooldown window exists between requests to prevent accidental rapid-fire queries. If two requests arrived in quick succession, the second was held by the anti-flood guard. Wait a moment and try again.
Memory Capacity
What is Memory Capacity (Neural Capacity)?
Memory Capacity is the maximum number of signal nodes your graph can hold. Each quiz answer, each Adaptive Learning capture from Milo, and each Pulse response adds one node. When the limit is reached, new nodes are held back until you expand your capacity.
What are the capacity limits per plan?
- Trial: 15 nodes (free, permanent)
- Base: 30 nodes ($4.99/month)
- Medium: 100 nodes ($9.99/month)
- Pro: 300 nodes ($19.99/month)
- Elite: 1000 nodes ($39.99/month)
What happens when I hit the limit?
New node additions are rejected. Milo and Templates continue operating on your existing graph — you simply cannot extend it further. Upgrade your Memory Capacity plan to unlock additional space.
Is Deep Scan available on all plans?
No. Deep Scan — extended retrieval across up to 15 memory nodes with a deeper analytical prompt — requires Pro (300 nodes) or Elite (1000 nodes). Trial, Base, and Medium plans have access to Fast Response only.
Can I downgrade my plan?
Payment module launches in the next release. Once billing is live, subscriptions can be managed from the Settings page. Your existing nodes are never deleted on downgrade — you simply lose the ability to add new ones beyond the new limit.
Milo Personalities
What are Milo Personalities?
Archetypes are four distinct analytical lenses for Milo. They change how Milo frames and delivers insights from your memory graph — same signal, different voice and perspective.
What are the four archetypes?
- Analytical (default, always unlocked) — terse, data-grounded synthesis. The base Milo voice.
- Catalyst (Medium plan and above, 100+ nodes) — provocateur mode. Surfaces the gap between your stated goals and the patterns actually recorded in your graph.
- Mirror (Pro plan and above, 300+ nodes) — reflective mode. Returns your own patterns in precise language so you can see yourself through your own data.
- Stoic (Pro plan and above, 300+ nodes) — Stoic philosophy lens. Every insight is filtered through the dichotomy of control: what you can act on versus what you cannot.
How do I switch archetypes?
Open Milo and use the archetype selector above the message input. Tap any unlocked archetype to activate it. Locked archetypes show a lock icon — tap them to open the Neural Marketplace and see which plan unlocks them. Your selection persists across sessions.
Does the archetype affect my credits?
No. Credit cost is determined by scan depth (Fast = 5 Credits, Deep = 15 Credits), not by the archetype. Any unlocked archetype can be used at no additional cost.
Can I combine Deep Scan with an archetype?
Yes. Deep Scan and Archetypes are independent overlays. Milo can run in Deep Scan + Catalyst mode simultaneously, for example. Both require their respective tier minimums to be active.
Data Access
How do I sign in from a different device?
Open the app and enter the same email address you registered with. Braintity uses magic link authentication — click the link sent to your inbox and your session opens instantly. No password required. Your entire memory graph is available immediately on any device.
Is my memory graph synced in real time?
Yes. Your memory graph is stored server-side in a secure, distributed database. Any node added on one device is immediately available across all others. There is no local-only storage — your Braintity lives in the lattice, not on the device.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Under GDPR and standard data portability rights, you can request a full export of your memory nodes and Milo history at any time. Use the Submit a Request form and we will deliver a structured export within 72 hours.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Account deletion permanently removes your profile, memory graph, and conversation history in full. Submit a deletion request via the support form with your registered email address.
Who can see my memory graph?
Only you. Every data access is filtered by your authenticated identity at the database level — no query can cross the boundary into another user's graph. Administrative operations are subject to internal audit controls. Your memory content is never used for model training.
